Privacy Policy
OpenXpert Group Exporter (browser extension) · Effective 17 October 2026
This policy explains how the OpenXpert Group Exporter browser extension ("the extension"), developed and powered by OpenXpert Solutions ("we", "us"), handles information.
Summary
To create the export you ask for, the OpenXpert Group Exporter browser extension handles group member information (names, phone numbers and admin status) locally, inside your own browser. We do not transmit this information to us or to anyone else, and we do not store, sell or share it.
What the extension does
On web.whatsapp.com, the extension lets you choose a WhatsApp group you belong to and save its member list (names, phone numbers where WhatsApp displays them, and admin status) as a file on your computer in CSV, Excel, JSON, vCard or TXT format, or copy it to your clipboard.
Information the extension accesses
- When you open the extension panel, it reads group and contact information that WhatsApp Web already holds in your browser's local storage, or that is displayed on screen, so it can build the export you request.
- This information is processed temporarily in your browser's memory. It is not saved by the extension.
- The files you create are saved only where you choose, using your browser's normal download feature.
What we do not do
- We do not send any data to our servers or to any third party. The extension makes no network requests.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking, cookies or fingerprinting.
- We do not load or run remote code.
- We do not read your messages, media or chat history.
- We do not require an account or ask you to sign in.
Permissions
The extension only runs on https://web.whatsapp.com/. It does not request any other browser permission. That site access exists solely to show the export panel and read the group member list you select.
Your responsibilities
Member names and phone numbers are personal data belonging to other people. You are responsible for using exported data lawfully and respectfully, including following WhatsApp's terms and any privacy, data-protection or anti-spam laws that apply to you.
Not affiliated with WhatsApp
The extension is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. "WhatsApp" is a trademark of its respective owner.
Children
The extension is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
